A court in Spain has reportedly decided to proceed with charges for the Real Madrid ace
Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio is facing possible criminal proceedings after being accused of distributing explicit images involving a minor.
A Spanish court has concluded its investigation and may now proceed with charges that could severely impact the 22-year-old’s career and public standing.
Allegations rock Castilla graduate amid trial threat
The case stems from an incident at a beach club in Gran Canaria more than two years ago, where Asencio and three other players, Ferran Ruiz, Juan Rodriguez, and Andres Garcia, are accused of recording and sharing sexual videos without the victims’ consent.
Court documents confirm that one of the women involved was under the age of 16 at the time. While Asencio initially testified as a witness, he was later added to the investigation by the Guardia Civil.

Asencio will now reportedly stand trial alongside his former teammates, who have since moved on from Real Madrid.
Legal shadows linger for Real Madrid star
Despite the serious nature of the accusations, Real Madrid continues to back Asencio, who has made 21 La Liga appearances this season.
The club has so far declined to comment publicly, insisting it will await full details before taking disciplinary action. However, this legal shadow grows heavier with each development.

A previous appeal to dismiss Asencio from the case was rejected by the court, with the ex-Castilla star set to face charges.
While his former teammates have scattered to other clubs, Asencio’s high-profile role at Madrid ensures this story will remain in the spotlight as the Public Prosecutor’s Office decided to pursue formal charges.
