Eric Ssenjobe had a point to prove when URA FC hosted KCCA at the Mehta Sports Stadium in Lugazi Wednesday afternoon.
The defender spent time at KCCA and only left to join Police in 2020 after failing to get playing time.
He was considered surplus to requirement and asked to try his luck elsewhere, which might have been a blessing in disguise.

The 24-year-old was put through on goal by substitute Joseph Ssemujju after defender Mustafa Mujuzi was robbed of possession deep in the URA half.
With relative ease, Ssenjobe shot past a hapless Benjamin Ochan to open the scoring for the hosts in the 72nd minute.
“It means a lot because I have taken some few matches without scoring, so when I got a chance, I had to use it,” Ssenjobe said after the game.
“My performance was good because I got a goal. When I got a chance of scoring, I used it so that we can get a win,” he added.
“I know it means something to them (KCCA) because I don’t think they mistreated me when I was there, but maybe I didn’t get enough time to play.
“To my club where I am playing now, I try to show what I am.”
Ssenjobe started out as a left-back but is getting consistent minutes as a centre-back and has been one of the outstanding defenders in the league since his time at Police.
Alfred Leku came off the bench to score URA’s second deep in stoppage time to hand Sam Timbe’s side maximum points.
For KCCA, the loss means they have yet to win in the last four Startimes Uganda Premier League matches.
Three consecutive 1-1 draws with Maroons, Blacks Power and UPDF were followed by a 1-0 defeat by Soltilo Bright Stars that sent the club packing out of the Stanbic Uganda Premier League.
