Makerere University continued their 100% winning start in Group C of the Pepsi University Football League by defeating Ndejje University, 3-0 at the Vision Arena grounds in Ndejje.

Makerere University continued their 100% winning start in Group C of the Pepsi University Football League by defeating Ndejje University, 3-0 at the Vision Arena grounds in Ndejje.

Goals from Oceng Ivan, Emmanuel Okweng and Kasaga Sadat were enough to grab the win for the away side in a game played in terrible conditions.

Makerere University head coach Douglas Bamweyana praised his team's efforts and warned the rest of the league.

"I am so proud of my team for today's efforts. They are a mentally tough team, and this is just a message to the rest of the teams that we are coming," Bamweyana told the media.

"This is a new generation, and we want to make a statement in this new era of Makerere football."

Bamweyana added: "We played as a team today, and we made sure to leave it out on the field to grant us the victory today."

Satuday’s victory lifts Makerere University to six points after their opening day 1-0 win against Kyambogo University.
