The former Vipers SC player netted in the 73rd minute as Express and Wakiso Giants FC played out a one-all stalemate on Friday.

Express FC continued their reliance on winger Allan Kayiwa, as the latter yet again swung into action to rescue a Uganda Premier League point at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

The former Vipers SC player netted in the 73rd minute as Express and Wakiso Giants FC played out a one-all stalemate on Friday.

Kayiwa restored parity after Sharif Kimbowa had handed the Purple Sharks the lead in the 67th minute.

The former now leads the goalscoring charts in the UPL with eleven goals, representing 40% of the Red Eagles' 25 goals.

On the evening in Wankulukuku, the hosts started the brighter side, knocking on the door on a couple of occasions, including a 24th-minute Joseph Akandanwaho effort punched wide by goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya.

Sekagya also denied Kayiwa in the 47th minute to leave matters stuck at 0-0.

With all Express' dominance, the guests broke the deadlock in the 67th minute, with Kimbowa striking cleanly past Abdu Kimera.

Five minutes later, Akandanwaho got fouled in the Wakiso Giants' penalty area before Kayiwa stepped up to bury from the penalty spot.
