Both teams have struggled for consistency, especially in the first round, but the tax collectors, who already picked up a win, will hope to maintain their momentum.

Four-time Uganda Premier League champions, URA FC, are set to return to league action on match day 17 when they host Express FC on Sunday, 26th February, at the Nakisunga grounds in Mukono.

Both teams have struggled for consistency, especially in the first round, but the tax collectors, who already picked up a win, will hope to maintain their momentum.

URA FC winger, Joseph Ssemujju, will be key for Sam Timbe’s charges. The January signing has already hit the ground running, having scored twice on his debut during URA FC’s win against Onduparaka. Alongside Joshua Lubwama, he will be expected to help Timbe’s charges.

Express FC is searching for their first league win in the second round after their 1-1 draw against UPDF FC when the second round resumed. The Red Eagles looked poised for victory but conceded a last-minute equalizer.

Express FC head coach, James Odoch, acknowledges that their hosts started off well in the second round, but he is hoping his side creates as many chances as possible, which will give them a chance to win.

“The game against URA FC will be tough; they started the second round well and also reinforced a bit in January, but our focus will be on creating as many chances as possible from which we hope to score,” he told the club media.

Express FC’s top scorer, Allan Kayiwa, will be expected to lead the Red Eagles’ hunt for goals. URA has not won against Express FC in five previous attempts across all competitions.

A win for the 11th-placed tax collectors will take them to 20 points, while a win for Express FC moves them to 21 points.

The Uganda Premier League match between URA FC and Express FC will take place on February 26th at Nakisunga Grounds in Mukono.
