The Tax Collectors are mourning the demise of their tactician but must get back to serious business on the pitch, and winning the Super 8 tournament is high on the agenda.

URA FC players will go into their FUFA Super 8 Tournament semi-final match against KCCA FC on Friday with a target of winning for departed head coach Sam Timbe.

The Tax Collectors are mourning the demise of their tactician but must get back to serious business, and winning the Super 8 tournament is high on the agenda.

“Honestly speaking, we are in shape amidst the sudden news. We lost our coach, but surely, I want to assure you that the entire camp is up, we are surely set to win tomorrow’s game,” midfielder Joshua Lubwama said after the team’s training session Thursday morning.

“We have a few injuries, but the players who are available are all ready for the match,” he added.

“We want to take this honour to thank the technical staff and the management. They have set us psychologically, they have talked to us and surely, we are psychologically stronger and just hoping to deliver tomorrow.”

The match had been scheduled for last Saturday but had to be postponed after the news of Timbe’s passing.

“We want to give back to our coach, to our fallen coach, Sam Timbe. We want to give all our best, we are going to put everything tomorrow so that we get the win. We shall actually dedicate it to him,” Lubwama revealed.

“It’s going to be a do-or-die game for us. We are going to give in our all so that we get the three points and then qualify to the next stage.”

URA have enjoyed clashes with KCCA FC in the last ten meetings, winning six times and drawing twice. They will be confident going into the tie and now have extra motivation to win.
