Nalukenge had endured a close-to-ten-month spell on the sidelines through injury and was thus, unsurprisingly, excited to be back among the goals.

"I'm so happy to have scored my first goal after a very long injury layoff," the Crested Cranes striker took to her social media handles.

"This has to be one of the best goals in my career because it has been a tough experience in the past ten months, but thanks be to the Almighty God," she added.

"I dedicate this goal to everyone who has been there for me in this toughest journey to recovery," Nalukenge summed.

Nalukenge is one of the most prolific Ugandan forwards in women's football, despite only being 20 years old.

It should be noted that she was named the FUFA Female Player of the Year in 2019 at only 17 years old, a clear manifest of her undoubted prowess.
