Newcastle United are reportedly interested in landing Manchester United's Mctominay, and the Red Devils are said to have set an asking price.

Manchester United have reportedly quoted a fee of £50 million for Scotland international, Scott McTominay as interest from Newcastle United grows.

The 28-year-old academy graduate has racked up over 200 appearances for the Red Devils since making his debut in 2017 under Jose Mourinho and could be set to leave Old Trafford as his game time has dwindled following the arrival of new signings.

Although the Red Devils are said to not consider a sale strongly, they will listen to an offer in the region of £50 million for the midfielder.

The Magpies are strong admirers of the midfielder, with Eddie Howe said to be a big fan, and they could be tempted to make the offer as they continue to flex their newfound financial muscle.

More on McTominay giving Man United an Ultimatum

As we reported previously, Scotland international Scott McTominay is reportedly ready to call time at Manchester United if his game time takes a further hit.

The midfielder has seen himself fall down the pecking order following the arrivals of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Marcel Sabitzer and is said to want out should his situation not improve.

According to Football Insider, McTominay has informed the Manchester United hierarchy of his intent to leave in the summer should his importance in the team wane further.

The 26-year-old Scotsman is a Manchester United academy product, and since making his debut under Jose Mourinho in 2017, he has made 214 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 18 goals and notching five assists.

However, following the club's reinforcement in midfield, he has seen his game time take a hit, and although he has made 20 Premier League appearances for the club this season, they have totalled only 1028 minutes, paling in comparison to the 2,392 minutes he was in action for last season.
