A notice from the club’s chief executive officer Chris Omony confirmed that the club will hold their elective general assembly on Friday 14th, July at the Mbale City Stadium.

Budadiri West Member of Parliament Nathan Nandala Mafabi is expected to vie for the chairmanship of Mbale Heroes when the club goes to polls this month.

A notice from the club’s chief executive officer Chris Omony confirmed that the club will hold their elective general assembly on Friday 14th, July at the Mbale City Stadium.

“Notice is hereby given to all Mbale Heroes members that the annual general meeting of the club shall be held on Friday 14th July at Mbale City Stadium starting at 9.00 AM to 12:00 PM,” Omony announced.

“This is, therefore, to invite eligible persons who wish to take up leadership positions to submit nomination documents to the secretariat by the 7th day of July 2023,” he added.

According to our sources as well as the club’s vice chairman in-charge of the technical affairs Badru Chemisto, Mafabi has unofficially expressed interest to stand.

Chemisto also confirmed the same during a television show on NTV last week.

If he stands, Mafabi will be up against the current chairman Wycliffe Mwambu who is famed for reviving the brand after buying off Kiboga Young.

Mafabi has been supporting the club that has now earned a promotion back to the FUFA Big League.

The elections are reserved only for the paid-up members of the club.
