Following his departure from Arua Hill SC on Tuesday, attacking midfielder Gadafi Wahab is close to sealing a deal with Uganda Premier League newbies NEC Football Club.

This season, he had accumulated three goals and four assists for the struggling Leopards, who sit rock-bottom with five points in 15 games.

As Arua Hill finished fourth last campaign, Wahab was nominated for the Midfielder of the Season, with Laban Tibiita eventually walking away with the gong.

Meanwhile, NEC sits seventh with 24 points in 15 games and is looking at bolstering the squad ahead of the second round, slated to kickstart this February.
