From an imminent departure after last Saturday's 4-3 Uganda Premier League defeat to KCCA FC to reports of staying, it's back to "Isabirye to leave" within a space of just a week.

After days of back and forth, the future (or the lack of it) of Alex Isabirye as Express FC head coach is back on the thread.

Journalist Sinan Rajub has reported, "Alex Isabirye is expected to leave Express after today's Uganda Cup game against Rwenzori Lions."

The two teams battle it out on Saturday afternoon in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

This follows their Wednesday 1-o victory over Myda FC in the Round of 16 at the Kongunga Playgrounds in Bukedea.

Meanwhile, when news of his initial apparent departure first hit, it was reported that he had felt a whole lot of disrespect from the club's faithful, who attacked him with verbal insults after the KCCA game.

Efforts by Pulse Sports Uganda to reach Isabirye to ascertain the claims have since been futile, as he didn't receive the calls on his known numbers.

The reigning UPL winner (with Vipers SC) joined Express in December on a one-month contract and impressed as he won four of the six games in that spell.

The impressive results, including a four-game winning run earned him praise from the 'Mukwano Gwabangi.'

Meanwhile, Isabirye was rewarded a 'longer' contract in January, whose terms nor duration were made public.
