The performance of the Super Falcons at the recently concluded FIFAWWC seems to have changed perspectives on the coach of the team, Randy Waldrum.

Nigerians led by famous photojournalist Tobi Adepoju have drummed up more support for Nigeria Super Falcons manager Randy Waldrum.

Adepoju and others reacted to the latest ranking released by the world football governing body, FIFA, on the best women’s national teams at the recently concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFAWWC.

Super Falcons rise on FIFA ranking

The multiple African champions have been listed amongst the best nations that played in the ninth FIFAWWC.

Nigeria Super Falcons are the only African team ranked in the top ten, with the team occupying the 10th position as reported by Pulse Sports.

Led by Waldrum, the Falcons proved several doubters wrong en route to a place in the knockout stage of the competition.

Nigeria is one of the few nations who finished the competition without losing a single game in normal time.

The Falcons survived a group of death that included co-hosts, who they shocked in the second game of the tournament, and Olympic champions Canada.

However, the Falcons eventually crashed out in the round of 16 after making history for Africa alongside the duo of South Africa and Morocco.

Not many Nigerians believed the Falcons boss had what it takes to take the team far in the competition.

However, Waldrum has now seen his reputation enhanced after a good showing in Australia as Nigerians have sent a message to the NFF to offer him an extended stay with the team.

But the experienced media man was not alone and Nigerians appear to agree with his position.
