The Abdallah Mubiru-coached side are looking to find solace in the Cup for glory this season, as the Uganda Premier League seems out of reach.

Thus far, KCCA FC's search for the record eleventh Stanbic Uganda Cup trophy is positive, having progressed to the Round of 16 at the expense of Jinja North United on Saturday.

The Kasasiro Boys comfortably dispatched their hosts 2-0 to cruise into the next Round.

At the moment, they are tied on with historical nemesis Express FC, and an eleventh gong will have them pull away.

Their last Uganda Cup trophy came six years back in 2018 when they beat rivals Vipers SC 1-0.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Shaban Saidi Mayanja scored KCCA's goals on the evening on enemy territory.

The former also netted a brace in the preceding Round as they got past Admin FC in another 2-0 win.
